A triumphant editorial caught my eye lately and it was the fury fashion aspect, captured by Berlin based photographer Cyril Schirmbeck, that made me want to share it with you. Doesn’t it feel like drawing ones very own inspiration from the so hyped Vetements style is a must currently? No matter where I look, styles are infused with this very own sense of understanding of this signature brand. Carried on for several seasons now, the wide field of different associations and styles could not be more inspiring and it doesn’t feel boring as a street uniform at all.
Honestly, I think this is the greatest thing to achieve when the fashion crowd adapts the style and creates own looks with a very own understanding, whilst remaining true to what the label has originally had in mind. Oversized, Patched, mixed, pulled apart and set together to make sense again yet always with a seductive, vintage-y touch. And this is exactly how Cyril Schirmbeck inspired me with his energizing photography; when you take a closer look at the images, you will find graceful movement interplaying with eye-catching power. Violence and anger are softened down by sexy fits and feminine tenderness. This editorial surely is a statement with a strong understanding of what’s happening right now, be it fashion-wise or not. And isn’t it elusive how an individual ” I don’t care what others think” attitude leads us to the biggest uniformity that we have seen in a while?! Let’s get the game on and see where we will find ourselves, for sometimes changing a perspective can open completely new ways of thinking. This story however, has already made it to fashion’s finale.
